We are now going to prepare and make our next contact to the dealerships. The reason I call this the final chance is because after this round we will eliminate 3 dealerships from contention of getting our business.

At this point you should have all of the information on the cars you are looking to possibly buy. So that would be the MSRP, Invoice and TMV from  Edmunds.com for each car if you are buying a new car. If you are buying a used car you will have the trade in value and retail value for each used car you are considering on buying. There is a check list of information below for new cars and used cars that you should have at this point.

New Car Information List
-MSRP, Invoice, TMV for each specific car and a detailed list of equipment on each specific car.
-A list of dealerships that you are getting quotes from. There should be 9.
-Quotes from the dealerships. InvoiceDealers.com and Edmunds.com   are great sources for these!
-An Email telling you about the dealerships.
-Your original Needs, Wants, and Priorities sheet.
-Insurance quotes from Insurance.com for each!

Used Car Information List
-Trade in value and retail value for each specific car.
-Quotes for each car from the dealership. Usedcars.com has one of the largest dealer quote networks.
-An Email telling you about the dealerships.
-Your original Needs, Wants, and Priorities sheet.
-Insurance quotes from Insurance.com for each!

You should have all of that information and hopefully it is organized in a easy manner for you. It is time for the Final Chance contact Email to the dealerships. I have posted below a good outline for that.

"Their Name,
I appreciate all your help and information so far in my car search. I am at the final point of making a decision on what cars I am going to go drive and pursue further. With this being said I am just making sure I have gotten all the correct information from the dealerships. Please advise me if any rebates or incentives have changed. Also in narrowing my possibilities price will be the biggest issue so if you feel you can sharpen your pencil a bit and get a better figure now would be the time! Once again thank you for all your help and I hope that you will be one of the dealers I end up working with on my purchase.

Your Name"

Now what we hope to accomplish here is to flush out a better price from one if not all of the dealerships. As before if you get a call tell them the same, thank you for calling but I will be in touch. If you receive an Email with questions then just stick to please give me the information I want.

Elimination Round!
Ok It is time to eliminate 3 of the dealerships. If your a New Car Buyer then you will end up eliminating one per make as you have 3 different makes. If your a Used Car Buyer it could be any 3 of the 6.

I know your wondering how do you eliminate these. Well for new cars see the section below for used cars your section follows that!

New Car Elimination of  Dealerships
Make sure you have lined out all of your cars with the equipment, etc. on them. Now it is simple pick the 2 best deals for each make. You have to be sure to include any value added packages like free oil changes etc. Then all you do is pick the two best deals for each make effectively eliminating the 3rd dealership from the equation for each make of car. Now your down to six. So simply you compare apples to apples and eliminate the one charging more for his!

Used Car Elimination of Dealerships
Ok you need to compare the complete deal as far as equipment, miles, condition etc. Pick the 3 dealers closes to trade value with comparable equipment, miles, etc. Now you have eliminated 3 and your down to 3!
