As we are waiting for the final chance Emails and the elimination round
to be over we need to start preparing for our fist visit to the
dealership. It is our full intention not to buy in this round but some
of us may be weak or the dealer may just be that good. There is no doubt
it is time for battle so before we even step onto the field where the
final battle will take place and even if we do not intend to do battle
this time we still need to be ready to win!
**Fact, Consumers that uses sources like
InvoiceDealers.com, Edmunds.com
,UsedCars.com
Automotive.com
,
Yahoo! Autos
will get a better deal initially than those that
do not!**
Lets review the information we have now. We have our MSRP, Invoice,
and TMV on each Car for our New Car Buyers. We have our retail price and
trade in price on each car for our used car buyers. We have the emails
from the dealership with their prices on each car as well as what each
dealership offers with the purchase of a car.
Now we need to know where we stand with each car we are considering
buying. We need to know what exactly we will spend buying this car. If
we are trading in a car we need to know what it is worth and what to
expect. If you have a trade go to our TRADE SECTION now and figure out
what it is worth and what to expect. then come back and finish this
section.
We need to know what loans are available to us that way we know if it
better to take the loan we have or if the dealer has a better one for
us. I know most will say never finance at the dealership but the truth
is they have relationships with lenders and sometimes that can be a good
thing for the customer. So go to
Driverloans.com
or Automotive.com
and
get a no obligation free quote on a loan. Make sure to read our
financing section as well.
I know some people tell you that extended warranties are just a way for
a dealer to make profit and well it is a way for profit but it is also a
sound investment. Most manufacture warranties do not cover small stuff
that one may need covered and on a used car an extended warranty is
always a great option. I personally buy extended warranties on every car
I buy. So lets see what one of those will cost us on the cars we are
looking at as each car is different.
SmartAutowarranty.com
is a great place for a reliable no obligation quote on a extended
warranty. Check
EcarWarranties.net as well. It is smart to shop warranties etc. just
like cars to make sure you get the best deal possible.
Last thing to check is auto Insurance rates.
Insurance.com is a great place to get competitive rates from several
insurance companies. Make sure to compare rates on each car you are
considering for purchase.
We now know what the cars we are looking at should cost, what the dealer
wants, what our trade is worth, what insurance is going to cost, what a
extended warranty will cost and what type of loan we can get. We now
organize this information by car and dealership so we should have a
folder for each dealership still in contention for our business. It is
time to schedule the visit. This is an important step as we need to
maintain control.
