So at this point in our Car Buying process we have accomplished a lot. Our most recent step was initial contact to the dealership  and getting the information we wanted while maintaining control. I am sure we have received several Emails from the dealerships and maybe a call or two but hopefully we have handled it the way that was outlined in Initial Contact.

Next we will be making contact to the dealer once again asking for a bit more information. What we are going to ask at this point has nothing to do with price really but more of about the dealership  with a hint to price. What this will do is help us get familiar with the dealership a bit before moving on and gives the dealer a chance to shoot a better price to us while working for our business. What we want is them fighting for our business.

Before we send our secondary contact over let us do a bit more prep work. Go back to InvoiceDealers.com, Edmunds.com Automotive.com , UsedCars.com or wherever you did your research for your NEW CAR or USED CAR and do the same research as highlighted in PREPARE FOR CONTACT except this time your going to do it on the specific Car that is at the dealership. When you are complete doing this you should have the MSRP, INVOICE, and TMV for NEW CAR BUYERS  or the Trade In Value and Retail Value for Used Car Buyers.

Below you will find an Email to send as the secondary contact to the dealerships. They will Email you back or as before call you. If they call you still use the same verbiage found in the previous section for getting a call before we want it. All we are doing is working the dealer a bit more here. After sending this Email and doing the above prep work move on to the next section Final Chance. Even if they call after this Email still use the verbiage from Initial Contact. It is VERY IMPORTANT to ALWAYS KEEP CONTROL.

" Salesperson's name,
I am moving close to making my decision. I am going to request a bit more information from you at this point to help me along the path. Price is very important to me in my buying decision but so is service after the sale etc. Please forward me information on your parts and service hours of operation. Also please send me any information as to any customer care packages that you may have. (some dealers give the first oil change free etc. so anything like that) Once I receive this information I will be narrowing by price and dealership. I ask once again this information is delivered by Email and I will call you when I am ready.
Thank you,
YOUR NAME"
